The top of phurbu is decorated often of motives representing some human beings or some animals. The photo n° 1 is very near stylisticly of the Indians of Britain Colombia in their masks and totems. One will notice the eyebrows under the shape of a primordial eagle with the expanded wings. The photo n°6 represents a laughing monkey. The n°7 represents the nail surmounted of one head. A small knife (no visible on the photo) is there attached so that the shaman in some ceremonies rasps some pieces of wood on the face.
